- 1/2 cup butter

- 4 eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a 10-inch cake pan with sides and bottom.

Remove from oven and let cool completely. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until ready to use.
Bring heavy cream to a boil over medium-high heat in a small saucepan, and add in chocolate chips, constantly stirring until melted. Set aside.
Remove the cake from the refrigerator and run a knife around the edges of the cake. Turn the cake onto a wire rack placed over a baking sheet; remove the baking sheet.
Pour chocolate ganache over the top of the cake, letting some drip down the sides. Let drip for 5 minutes, then spread evenly over the top with an offset spatula. Refrigerate until the ganache is set, at least 30 minutes or up to 2 days.
Beat cream cheese on medium speed in a bowl for about 5 minutes. Add powdered sugar and remaining hot fudge sauce and continue beating until the frosting is fluffy. Frost the cake with frosting, then drizzle with any remaining ganache from the sides of the cake.
