A Nestlé chocolate cake is a type of Cake that originated in Switzerland. The most common kind is a dark, rich chocolate cake with a glossy sheen and dense, moist texture which can be baked or microwaved.

The Nestlé brand of chocolate cake was originally introduced by the Swiss company Nestlé in the middle of the 20th century. The recipe is a two-layer chocolate sponge cake with a warm chocolate fudge filling.

How to make What is Nestle Chocolate Cake?

  • Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
  • Cooking Time: 10 Minutes
  • Total Time: 15 Minutes
  • Servings: 4

Ingredient:

  • 1 (1.41 ounce) Nestlé Dark Gourmet Chocolate Bar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil (you can also use melted butter or margarine instead)

Description:

Step 1.

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans; set aside.

Step 2.

Break up the chocolate bar into pieces, and place in a medium saucepan over low heat. Add the water; cover, and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat; stir in the baking powder until dissolved. Set aside to cool slightly.

Step 3.

In a large bowl, combine the eggs and oil. Beat with an electric mixer on medium-high speed for 2 minutes. Add the sugar; beat on medium speed until thick and no longer grainy, about 4 minutes.

Beat the chocolate mixture, then stir in the flour at low speed (do not over-mix). Pour batter into prepared cake pans; place in bottom third of oven; bake 10 to 12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Step 4.

Cool for 10 minutes in pans on wire racks; remove from pans to wire racks to cool completely. Ice with Chocolate Fudge Frosting as desired.
